Salvaging reclaimed goods is a long-standing family tradition. Established in 1995, Stax Reclamation Ltd is a family-run business founded by Mr Stephen Meyrick. Stephen's great-grandfather (Mr Herbert Perry) owned a reclamation yard from 1948 to the mid-1960s, and the passion for reclamation continues through the generations with Stephen's daughter Lou taking the reigns today.
With salvage at its heart, the business has evolved over the years but its core principles remain strong – old and new are the best of friends. Our handmade "Made by Us" design side of the business began from a love of creating furniture from the reclaimed raw materials we picked up on our salvage trips and evolved from there. Breathing new life into the old, giving vintage items a new lease of life and firmly placing them in the modern day is what we do best.
Stephen believes the real driving force of the business is and always should be customer satisfaction. He loves working with people and his creative mind is always thinking of new designs. Whilst our underlying passion is for reclamation, the love of creating and designing new items is one of the things which helps the business remain so successful and forward-thinking.

We love working with wood new and old. The grain and patina afforded by old wood is a joy to behold. The natural character of wood adds a touch of rustic elegance to our handmade designs, making each piece one-of-a-kind.
